There are many services on the internet where you can upload your personal photos and then create stamps from them. You can even use the online interface to edit your photo, zoom, crop, or even rotate your picture so you can make your personal stamp look its very best.
Print first class postage stamps
You can decide which rate of stamp you want to print, it is possible to have your stamps printed in a variety of different rates that can meet all of your needs. You can purchase stamps in postcard rates costing 24 cents, to 39 cents for regular first class stamps. If you intend to use your personalized postage stamps to send out packages, then you can even purchase these stamps up to a maximum of 4 dollars per package.
You can order stamps online and either have them delivered to you, or print them out on your own personal printer. If you are ordering them for delivery there is a minimum order of one sheet, which contains 20 stamps. When to use a personalized postage stamps
A personalized photo stamp can be used for pretty much any occasion, from weddings, anniversaries to birthdays! A great idea is to have a series of stamps, in which a couple could have a particular photo stamp to send out invitations to their wedding with. Free personalized postage stamps?
By allowing individuals and companies to print their own postage there is of course a risk of fraud. How can the USPS prevent people from printing stamps without paying for them? The USPS has spent a great deal of money developing a system to secure the personalized stamp system. Although the stamps can be customized, there are certain policies in place that cannot be changed.
There must be a border and a printed barcode displayed within this border. The barcode has quite a lot of information encoded on it. The date the stamps were created and the serial number of the software used to create the stamps are all there. These measures make it almost impossible to print customized postage for free.
Specially designed machines are capable of scanning these barcodes and decoding the information that is enclosed in them. Along with the barcode, there are also pieces of information that can be read by humans to ensure the stamps are legitimate.
Stamps arent that valuable so it is unlikely anybody would go out of their way to decode the information in the barcode so that it was possible to make fake postage, but it is there to prevent bulk personalized stamp production.
